The Expert Behind the Stethoscope

I earned my veterinary degree from the University of Cáceres, Spain, in 2005. My professional journey began in private practice, where I soon established my own clinic and developed a deep passion for cardiology. This interest inspired me to pursue further specialization, culminating in the attainment of my General Practitioner Certificate in Cardiology from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies in 2012.

In 2013, I moved to Italy to complete two internships, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience. Building on this foundation, I began my ECVIM-CA Residency Program in cardiology in 2016. My path then took me to the UK in 2019, where I spent a year in specialized private practice before spending three years lecturing in cardiology at the University of Liverpool. I have since returned to private practice.

My clinical interests span all areas of small animal cardiology, with particular expertise in pacemaker implantation and interventional procedures for congenital heart diseases. Having worked in a variety of settings across several countries, I am well-acquainted with the challenges veterinarians face in diverse environments. I am committed to advancing cardiovascular care for companion animals through clinical excellence and by sharing knowledge with colleagues.

The Person Behind the Expert

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and immersing myself in the natural beauty of the UK. Running is a favorite pastime, and I regularly participate in parkrun events, which keep me fit while fostering connections with a vibrant community of fellow runners.

One of my greatest pleasures is exploring the outdoors with my dog, Trufa. Whether hiking scenic countryside trails, wandering through hidden woodland paths, or walking along the coast, these shared adventures provide a welcome balance to my professional life.
